“I was just a three year old baboon, living in the lab in Sydney. I was made diabetic by researchers. I know that piglets in another laboratory nearby were killed and their cells were transplanted into me. Day in day out, I was given insulin. After 14 months, I had to be killed because I had developed severe ulcerative lesions on my feet, hands and my mouth. It was painful and an awful existence. Please remember me and honour me with a name”
