“I’m 18 years old and the last anybody heard…I was still living in a research facility. I am a Southern Pig-tailed Macaque and my ID number is NF22. Normally, I would be enjoying my life in a forest with other macaques, but I have never known the wild in my life. All I know is these cages. I was used in Protocol 27520 – that’s about all I can tell you. Thank you so much for remembering me and honouring me with a name.”
